Sr. Director of Fabrication Centers at Boeing. Responsibilities include, ensuring accountability and authority (RAA) for over 30+ BDS and BCA programs totaling ~$150M annually. Leading, continuously improving and growing the Fabrication Centers’ core competencies along with capturing new business within Fabrications.
Pathfinder for implementation of processed based building methodologies saving ~20% in cost and delivery performance. Lead and project manage complex work from varying sites in support of BDS Site Consolidation. Continuously leading teams to production stability utilizing key performance Indicators (KPI) across multiple BDS sites. I have led teams in establishing and executing a robust strategy team, which is being recognized as a model for BDS.
Empowering teams, for improved employee engagement and increased diversity and inclusion is passion. My continued, strategy has been to develop a specialized manufacturing work center for individuals with disabilities. The newly developed Fulfillment Centers allow individuals to contribute in meaningful ways as integrated members of the Electrical and Composite teams. This effort is not only projected to save greater than 900K annually, it will also champion efforts to become a more diverse workforce where all individuals have an opportunity to meet their full potential.
I have led Boeing Mesa to be the first Neuro-diverse certified site across the enterprise, focused on the hiring of active military/spouses engaging new skills as they transition to civilian workforce, utilizing the Skill Bridge program.
Established a Strategy/Bus Ops team within BDS Fabrication organization to develop standard processes for work movement along with integrating multiple functions. The Strategy team is brokering & winning new business as well as ensuring seamless transition with a dedicated new business tactical team in place.
Prior to leading Fabrication, I served as the Direct Attack Operations Senior Manager for Boeing Weapons & Missile Systems based in St. Charles, Missouri. In that role, I led a multi-disciplined team to produce more than 3,000 weapons monthly and led diverse teams in continuous improvement activities utilizing principles and techniques including Value Stream Mapping, Continuous Improvement Processes, Kaizen and several statistical problem-solving tools.
I joined the company in 1989 as a flight controls engineer and have held leadership positions with aerospace and engineering divisions on programs including F-15, F/A-18, AV-8B, T-45 and weapons. I earned a Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering from Tuskegee University, a Master’s in Manufacturing Engineering from Bradley University, and a graduate of the Boeing Leadership Experience program. In addition, I serve as the Executive Focal for Tuskegee University along with being an active member of Women in Aviation and the National Society of Black Engineers. Also an active member of WiM(Women in Aviation) which empowers women to see their career path through mentoring with other women and teammates.
