Keith and Ellie
A few words . . . . Soldier's Best Friend has been the best thing that has happened to me since my initial diagnosis. Ellie has taken the place of endless therapy sessions and medications. The training that Ellie and I received has fostered a bond that I never imagined. When at home, without the vest, Ellie is just a fun loving dog that brings joy and love to all family members, most notably, my wife, who appreciates Ellie's willingness to pick up my dirty clothes and take them to the laundry room for me! Once the vest goes on, Ellie knows that her time and efforts are exclusive to me and she takes over the responsibilities of vigilance, vetting and overall environmental assessment, thereby providing me with the comfort in knowing that I can now venture out into the world knowing that someone really does have my "six"!
