Geanette & Zeta

I was living in a world that was dark and painfully quiet. As a veteran, I carried invisible wounds. I struggled with post-traumatic stress and depression. There were days where leaving the house felt impossible. I had tried numerous therapies, medications, and countless coping mechanisms. Nothing was able to reach the part of me that had gone silent until I met Soldier’s Best Friend.
I was in the hospital when I heard about Soldier’s Best Friend. I contacted the organization after discharge, and I was immediately greeted with compassion, dignity, and understanding. They approved my dog for service training. Over the next year, my best friend was trained to become my hero.
The team at Soldier’s Best Friend didn’t just change my life; they saved it. Their dedication, training, and heart have given me more than I ever thought possible: trust, companionship, and hope. I will forever be grateful for the people who made this journey possible.
