A huge thank you to all the sponsors, participants, volunteers and supporters who made this year’s Sporting Clay event a success. We had 104 registered participants this year who came out to enjoy Saturday morning at Ben Avery Clay Target Center in support of Soldier’s Best Friend. Many of our sponsors were there. Thanks to Channel 3 for the live interview on their Sunday morning show to promote the event in advance and to KTAR for their coverage the day of the event. Special thanks to those who provided onsite support with tents, water, ice, plaques and t-shirts. We are very appreciative of everyone who had a part in making this year’s clay event the best one so far.

Yesterday marked a milestone for eight hard working veteran/dog teams from Prescott, Phoenix and Sierra Vista. Their graduation was held in Central Phoenix in a private ceremony. Each team was given their official service dog vest and documentation to show their successful completion of the program. Our President, who conducted the graduation ceremony, expressed our pride in their accomplishments as well as a reminder that the work isn’t finished. Every team is encouraged to continue their training and stay engaged. Photos are posted on our Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/SoldiersBestFriend
A heartfelt salute to all the U.S. veterans who have served our country so bravely.
A huge thank you to all the golfers, sponsors, volunteers and others who made the Nov. 1 golf tournament a huge success. It was a gorgeous day at the Legends at Arrowhead for the tournament. A total of 128 golfers participated this year. Our devoted volunteers were there at 5:30 in the morning to make sure the day was a success. Thank you to the sponsors for their support. Investment of both time and financial support made this year’s tournament one to remember.
